| Pre-mature payments for term deposits:- In case of premature payments for deposits over Rs. One Crore, normal interest be paid for the period it has run and penalty of 1.5% may be charged thereon (Normal interest minus 1.5%). No interest to be paid below 46 days. For deposits upto Rs. One Crore, No penalty for premature withdrawal of single deposits upto Rs. 1 Crore (Rs. 1 Crore only) which have run for more than 45 days. Interest on such premature deposits will however, be paid at the rate applicable to deposits for the period for which the deposit being prematurely withdrawn has actually been held with the bank. |
